The Bay Harbor Bow Wow this past Sunday was quite the rollercoaster. The first couple of hours I was here, I’ll admit that I thought there was a strong chance that Bow Wow wasn’t going to happen this year. The storms that morning were in a word, insane. It was pouring, there was thunder & lightning, the works. By 10am when Bow Wow was supposed the start, the awful weather was still going on with no end in sight. My hopes were all but dashed.

But then something wonderful happened… The rain ended & out came the sun!! Then came dog after dog! The pups, people, costumes, & tricks were all amazing. I can’t thank everyone who came out to support the Little Traverse Bay Humane Society enough! I hope everyone attending had as much fun as I did :)

Check out some awesome shots from the event, above!

I was driving around Bay Harbor the other day, and it’s hard not to notice just how beautiful it is here. Check out these photos I took :)

The Voices Without Borders Outdoor Concerts here at Bay Harbor were amazing last week! I went to take photos, & the kids involved in both Symbolica & Zirka are all so talented. The performances were all beautiful & really highlighted different aspects of their cultures. If you missed their show here, I would strongly recommend catching their concerts next time you have the chance.

Voices Without Borders is excited to bring two electrifying performances to the Marina Lawn Panel at the Village at Bay Harbor on July 14 with two shows, one at 12:30 pm and another at 7:30 pm.

The 12:30 pm performance will feature SYMBOLICA, a flag waving dance company from Genk, Belgium. In 2009, Symbolica developed their new show “Rhythm & Flags” which portrays the group’s new feeling of strength and dynamism which presents the typical Flemish folk art of flag dancing in a new way.

The 7:30 pm performance with feature ZIRKA, Ukrainian Dancers from Dauphin, Manitoba, Canada that were established to preserve and promote the rich Ukrainian heritage of their region. In 1991, Zirka was invited to tour of Ukraine where they presented performances and workshops throughout the country. Zirka has also performed at Walt Disney’s Epcot Center.

Voices Without Borders (VWB), Inc. was incorporated in Michigan to promote, support and sponsor choral music performances and other performing arts activities for young people in the schools and community. The new Tiara 3100 Coronet is arguably the best day boat yet! The Northern Michigan waters of Little Traverse Bay are the perfect setting for Tiara’s newest offering.  Just like its predecessor, the 29 Coronet, being perfectly suited for our waters, the new 31 Coronet is poised to pick up where the old boat left off with more space, efficiency, and features in a still compact package.

The Walstrom Marine 31 Coronet is outfitted as the popular Harbor Edition, utilizing a new to Tiara Imron painted flag blue hull.  It’s beautiful!!  Call Hi Stover at Walstrom Marine today, 231-439-2741 for a personal showing.  For more information, go to www.walstrom.com.
